Lambright, Anna Mae Bontrager

Anna Mae Lambright, 84, of Shipshewana, died at 11:35 pm, on Saturday, April 25 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. She was born on September 25, 1935, in Yoder, KS, to Joe S.K. and Katie (Yoder) Bontrager. On May 24, 1956 in Middlebury, she married Chris J. Lambright; he died April 2, 2018.
Surviving are five sons, Glen (Sharon) Lambright of Goshen, Floyd (Sharon) Lambright of Topeka, Jerry (Orpha) Lambright of Shipshewana, Joseph (Marietta) Lambright of Millersburg, Chris Jr. (Norma) Lambright of Shipshewana; three daughters, Katie (Norman) Lehman of Middlebury, Susan (Calvin) Miller of Topeka, Ruby (Wilbur) Miller of Shipshewana; daughter-in-law, Vera (Mervin) Yoder of Goshen; 61 grandchildren, 153 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Clara Borkholder of Nappanee, Susan
Lambright of Middlebury, Betty Miller of Goshen; sister-in-law, Ida Bontrager of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Freeman C. Lambright; two brothers, Herman and Chris Bontrager.
Anna Mae was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Due to current gathering restrictions the family will hold private services. Services will be conducted by Bishop Mervin Schrock and the home ministers. Burial will be in Bontrager Cemetery, Middlebury. The community is encouraged to show their support by mailing cards of sympathy to the family at 1295 N. 925 W., Shipshewana.
Lambright, Arika Danelle
April 15, 2019 - February 27, 2020
Arika Danelle Lambright, 10 month old daughter of Mike and Cyndi (Mullet) Lambright of Ligonier, died on Thursday, February 27, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She was born on April 15, 2019 at the New Eden Care Center in Topeka.
Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother, Ethan Layne Lambright at home; grandparents, Vernon O. and Erma Lambright of Topeka, Chester and Miriam Mullet of Belle Center, OH; great-grandparents, Orli A. and Mary A. Lambright, Glen A. and LuElla Mast all of Topeka, Marvin and Kathryn Mullet of Bonduel, WI, Valentine and Dorothy Mast of Kalona, IA.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 29, all day Sunday, March 1, at the Eugene Troyer residence, 9889 N. 450 W. Ligonier. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday, March 2, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Harley Yoder and the home ministers. Burial will be in Clearspring Cemetery, Topeka.

Jordan Dale Lambright, two year old son of Jon and Lorene (Miller) Lambright of Topeka, died at 12:45 pm, on Sunday, August 23, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, following a swimming accident on Saturday. He was born on April 19, 2018, in Topeka.
Surviving in addition to his parents are brother, Malachi Jace Lambright at home; grandparents, Omer and Naomah Miller and Dennis and Rosetta Lambright both of Topeka; great-grandparents, LeRoy and Mary Miller, Daniel and Ida Yoder both of Topeka, Mary Miller of LaGrange and Susan Lambright of Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Freeman Miller and Freeman Lambright.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 25, and all day Wednesday, August 26, at the Harley Bontrager residence 6395 S. 900 W., Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Thursday, August 27 also at the Harley Bontrager residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Glen Lambright and the home ministers. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Lambright, Marcia Darlene Hochstetler
August 9, 1948 - December 11, 2020
Marcia Darlene Lambright, 72, of Rome City died at 1:00 am on Friday, December 11, at her residence. She was born on August 9, 1948 in Indianapolis to Henry and Sovilla (Weirich) Hochstetler*. On October 15, 1970 in LaGrange County she married Alvin Lee Lambright, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are five sons, Daniel (Consuela) Lambright of San Antonio, TX, Orvan Ray (Rosanne) Lambright of Millersburg, Lloyd Lambright of MI, David (Marilyn) Lambright of Topeka, Dennis (Ronda) Lambright of Topeka; two daughters, LeEtta (Ron) Dilley of Hoopeston, IL, Marilyn (Wayne) Yoder of Rome City; two granddaughters, Janelle (special friend Kenneth Mast) Helmuth and Kaylene (special friend Michael Bontrager) Helmuth both at home; 27 grandchildren; two half-sisters, Sherry Ferguson of Indianapolis and Sandra of CA; two half-brothers, Terry Dykes of Indianapolis and Dennis (Mary) Dykes of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two stillborn sons and a granddaughter.
Marcia was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 12, and all day Sunday, December 13, at the Nathan Yoder residence, 11643 North Baseline Rd. Wolcottville. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday, December 14, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Daniel Lambright and the home ministers. Lambright, Susanna "Sue" Yoder
April 25, 1921 - December 21, 2020
Susanna "Sue" Lambright, 99, of Goshen, died at 12:10 pm, on Monday, December 21 at Courtyard of Goshen. She was born on April 25, 1921, in LaGrange, to Noah and Mattie (Yoder) Yoder. On November 11, 1943 in Noble County, she married Levi J. Lambright; he died April 1, 2010.
Surviving are daughter, Martha (John) Hummel of Coupeville, WA; son, Leroy (Barbara) Lambright of Goshen; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one step great-grandchild; two sisters, Dorothy Borkholder of Nappanee, Edna Miller of Shipshewana; two brothers, Dan (Viola) Yoder of Ft. Wayne, Amzie (Mae) Yoder of Nappanee; two sisters-in-law, Alice Yoder of Shipshewana, Dorothy Yoder of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Katie Yoder, Emma Yoder; four brothers, Leroy Yoder, Ervin Yoder, Menno Yoder, Alton Yoder.
Sue was a homemaker and a charter member of Woodlawn Amish Mennonite Church. She also worked at Goshen Hospital as a nurse's aide.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 26 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Sunday, December 27 at Woodlawn Mennonite Church, Goshen. Services will be conducted by the Woodlawn Ministry Team. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Landis, Jay B. (Dr.)

Dr. Jay B. Landis, 87, of Harrisonburg, departed this life May 17, 2020, at Sentara RMH Medical Center. Mr. Landis was born Sept. 20, 1932, in Lancaster, Pa., and was a son of the late Martin S. and Esther Good Landis.
On June 10, 1961, he married the former Peggy Heatwole, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Ann M. Landis (Susan Otto, partner) of Keezletown, and Jill I. Landis Snider (Craig, husband) of Broadway; three grandchildren, Rebecca Snider (Michael Yoder) of Goshen, Ind., Nathaniel Snider of Richmond, Va., and Timothy Snider of Broadway; a sister, Marlene Shepard of Ephrata, Pa.; brother, Martin C. Landis (Ruth), of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In 1954, Jay received a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Eastern Mennonite University (then EMC) and a Master of Arts in English from Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 1958. In 1976, he received a Doctor of Arts in English from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.
Dr. Landis was a beloved teacher. In 1956, he joined the faculty of Eastern Mennonite High School, later becoming a professor in the Language and Literature Department of Eastern Mennonite University until his retirement in 2007.
In his retirement he published Verse Assignments, a collection of his own poetry in 2013. He was an active member of Park View Mennonite Church and the Colloquy Sunday School class. He loved music and was a member of the church choir and the Shenandoah Valley Choral Society. He carefully tended his rose gardens and enjoyed sharing their beauty with others. Volunteer work included the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Free Clinic, Patchwork Pantry, Artisans’ Hope and the Brethren Mennonite Heritage Center. He cherished his relationships with colleagues and students and was known for remembering many of their names years later. Throughout his life he endeavored to live out EMU’s proclaimed mission to espouse justice, show mercy for all, and walk humbly with God.
Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be live-streamed at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22, at pvmchurch.org. A private graveside service will be held at Weavers Cemetery, Harrisonburg, with Pastor Phil Kniss officiating. Landis, Lovis Lapp
June 14, 1936 - April 26, 2020
Lovis L. Landis, 83, of Landis Homes, entered her heavenly home on April 26, 2020. Lovis was a member of Mellinger's Mennonite Church. Lovis was a prayer warrior and leaves a spiritual legacy for her family. She enjoyed reading, collecting stamps, and gardening. She is known for her sweet smile, encouraging words, and kindness.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert M. Landis. She was mother to Dale (Carol Erb), Darrel (Colette Walters) and Dean (Lori Kern). She was loved by her grandchildren Megan Kilby, Jeremy, Carissa Heitland, Darren, Carson, Lee Daniel, Courtney Hershey, Shane, Cody, Kali Reely, Pierce and Donavon, and great-grandchildren Jaycob Kilby, Ava Hershey, Edelweiss, Atticus Heitland, Marilla, Brooklyn Heitland and Rowan Hershey. Lovis is also survived by siblings Francis Henry, Alvin Lapp and Pearl Kreider Kurtz. Her brother David Lapp preceded her in death.

Landis, Robert S., 64, of Harleysville, Montgomery Co., PA died June 29, 2020 at Sellersville, Bucks Co., PA.
He was born June 23, 1956 at Sellersville, PA to Linford D. and Rhoda (Bergey) Landis. Linford was born May 2, 1937 and Rhoda was born December 10, 1935. They both survive.
On March 26, 1977 he was married to Marianne Daley, who was born November 6, 1957 and survives.
Surviving are a daughter, Jayne Longacre & husband Quincy; three grandchildren, and siblings, Anita Kapusta & husband Jerry; Lori Danzenbaker & husband Dan; and Mark Landis.

Lauver, Lois M. Swihart
June 13, 1923 - December 7, 2020
Lois M. Lauver, 97, of LaGrange, IN died December 7, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor in LaGrange, IN.
Mrs. Lauver was born on June 13, 1923 in Brighton, IN to Rollin J. and Mary E. (Keim) Swihart.
Growing up in Brighton, IN she was the class president and the salutatorian of her 1941 Brighton High School graduating class. After graduating she continued her education for two years at Goshen College. After graduating she taught in the one-room Schertz School in Roanoke, IL from 1943-1945.
On October 14, 1945 in Goshen, IN she married Rev. J. Paul Lauver. After her husband was ordained as a minister, they served as the first missionaries in Puerto Rico under the Mennonite Board of Missions for 12 years from 1945 to 1957. She had a beautiful soprano voice, and on the "Luz y Verdad" (Light & Truth) radio ministry in Puerto Rico, she sang duets with Paul, and later as part of choral groups. In 1957, she and Paul along with their four young children, returned to the United States to care for Lois’ mother. A living legacy of acceptance, perseverance, gratitude and faith, Lois was a wonderful partner with Paul, as they served God in missionary work and then pastoral ministry at the former Marion Mennonite Church. She was still a faithful member of the Marion Christian Fellowship in rural Shipshewana, IN.
Surviving Lois are her children; Paul (Marilyn) Lauver of Wolcottville, IN, John (Patti) Lauver of Columbia, SC, David (Pam) Lauver of West Palm, FL, Maggie (Doug) Egge of Fishers, IN; a daughter-in-law, Jan (John) Schwartz of Shipshewana, IN; her grandchildren, Joel Lauver of Indianapolis, IN, Lindsay Lauver (Nathan Warrick) of Ben Lomond, CA, Reed Lauver of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Amy Lauver of Columbia, SC, Jessie (Mike) Whitten of Zionsville, IN, Jenny (Rory) Igo of Andover, MA, Jacob Paul (Kellie) Lauver of Stuart, FL, Weston (Cayleigh) Lauver of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Kira Lauver of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Alex Glaser of Fishers, IN; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding Lois in death was her husband, J. Paul Lauver; her parents, Rollin J. and Mary E. Swihart; two children, Ann L. McMahon and James E. Lauver; a granddaughter, Molly Glaser; and a brother, Richard E. Swihart.
Funeral services will take place privately and burial will be in Brighton Cemetery in rural Howe, IN. Lois’ grandson, Rev. Weston Lauver will officiate.

Layman, Harry Samuel
April 2, 1944 - February 14, 2020
Harry Samuel Layman, 75, of Quicksburg, VA passed peacefully away early Friday morning, February 14, 2020 at Sentara hospital after battling Parkinson's for several years.
Harry was born on April 2, 1944 to the late Wilmer and Anna Mary Wenger Layman. He grew up and lived in the Dayton area for many years. There he met his wife of 58 years, Brenda Kaye Wine, who survives.
He is also survived by five children, Jerrold Layman and wife Sharon, Polly Yankey and husband Larry, Delbert Layman and wife Emma, Treda Beachy and husband Jacob, Hilda Layman; 21 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his two siblings, Edith Martin, and David Layman.
Rev.'s Ben Martin, Jeff Messenger, and Jonathan Good will conduct a memorial service 11:00 a.m. Monday at Bethesda Mennonite Church near Broadway. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Bethesda Mennonite Church.
There will be no services at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

Leaman, Tobias Dwight
December 30, 2001 - October 17, 2020
Tobias Dwight Leaman, 18, of West Lampeter Township, passed away at Hershey Medical Center on Saturday, October 17, 2020, following a 16 month battle with cancer.
A lasting legacy for Tobias will be how he fought his cancer with a strong faith and spirit, and without complaint. It is a testament to the young man he was before becoming ill, which has inspired others to live more intentional Christian lives. Known for his easy smile, Tobias was most content in the presence of those he loved.
He was born Dec. 30th, 2001, in Frederick, MD, the first born to Dwight N. and Sheila J. (Siegrist) Leaman, with whom Tobias lived.
Tobias graduated from Lampeter-Strasburg High School in 2020 and recently started classes in Automotive Technology at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. While at L-S, Tobias was involved in FFA, played on the golf team, sang in the choir and played French horn in the band, as well as being a National Honor Society student.
Having a strong faith, Tobias worshipped with his family at Strasburg Mennonite Church, where he was active in the youth group and with their Bible quizzing team.
He had a passion for dirt bikes and classic cars, and recently enjoyed two trips to Florida in his 2001 Corvette, once to visit his grandparents and once to attend the NASCAR Daytona 500. He and his family also took a 17 day road trip out west to visit several National Parks earlier this year.
Tobias enjoyed working on the family farm, and raising Bernese Mountain puppies. He liked to listen to music ranging from Classic Rock to Southern Gospel, and he had started to play the guitar. From an early age, Tobias also took an interest in model trains and layouts.
In addition to his parents Dwight and Sheila, Tobias is survived by his four younger siblings, Wesley, Greta, Magdalana and Eliza Leaman; his paternal grandparents, Norman and E. Arlene (McMichael) Leaman of West Lampeter Twp.; and his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Elizabeth (Harnish) Siegrist of Henderson, NY.
We as a family would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest gratitude to God, our family, church family, and community at large for the generous outpouring of support we have received these past months. From meals to a Cruise-In car show, to many other supporting gifts including emails, texts, and shared songs of encouragement, we have been so blessed.
Viewings will take place Saturday 10/24 from 2 to 5 PM and Sunday 10/25 from 1:30 to 3 PM, followed by the Funeral on Sunday at 3 PM with Rev. John D. Meck officiating, at Strasburg Mennonite Church, 1514 Village Rd., Strasburg, PA. Interment in Strasburg Mennonite Cemetery.

Lefever, Ellene Neff
June 21, 1925 - February 10, 2020
Ellene N. Lefever, 94, of Landis Homes, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Paul B. Lefever, who passed away on December 25, 2004. She was born in East Lampeter Township, daughter of the late Rev. Harry N. and Katie H. Denlinger Neff. She was a member of Mellinger Mennonite Church. Ellene enjoyed flowers, her pen-pal ministry to those who are incarcerated, her family, and she was a gentle, kind, and humble person.
She is survived by one daughter: Nancy L. (Raymond E.) Reitz, Manor Twp. One son: J. Paul (Suzanne) Lefever, Xenia, OH. Four grandchildren: Jennifer (Phil) Kratz; Erika (Kris) Good; Sara (Jesse) Pellman; and Chandler Lefever. Nine great-grandchildren. Four sisters: Marian Martin; Betty Martin; Alma (Luke) Martin; and Evelyn (Hershey) Hostetter. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Shirley L. Forney, and seven siblings: Dorothy Hershey, John Neff, Clarence Neff, Lloyd Neff, Mervin Neff, Grace Reitz, and Harry Neff, Jr.

Lefever, Kathryn J. "Kass" Shenk
October 26, 1926 - July 27, 2020
Kathryn J. "Kass" Lefever, 93, formerly of Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Brethren Village where she made her home for the past 22 years. Born in Mount Joy Township, she was the daughter of the late John S. and Katie Layser Shenk. She was the loving wife of the late Titus H. Lefever who passed away in 1982. She was a member of Chiques Church, Manheim. Kass was a school bus driver for the former Geib Bus Service, Manheim for 24 years and also had worked part-time at the Kreider Farms Dairy Store, Manheim. While residing at Brethren Village for many years, Kass volunteered at the thrift shop and gift store.
She is survived by a son, James R. husband of Laura Lefever of Arizona, a daughter, Rebecca S. wife of Michael Garman of Lititz, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, J. Gary, John T., and Joseph S. Lefever, a granddaughter, Kathryn "Kassie" Garman, two sisters, Clara Petticoffer and Arlene Strickler and three brothers, Layser, Chester, and John Shenk.
The family would like to thank the Courtyard staff at Brethren Village for the loving care given to Kass during her time there.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at Chiques Church, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service. Interment will be private in the adjoining church cemetery.

Amanda A. Lehman, 82, of Middlebury, died at 8:45 am on Tuesday, October 20, at her residence. She was born on January 9, 1938 in LaGrange County to Amos and Katie (Hochstetler) Yoder. On November 14, 1957 in Middlebury she married Noah Lehman, he survives.

Daniel M. Lehman, 82, of Topeka, died at 10:07 pm on Thursday, November 12, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born on July 5, 1938 in LaGrange, to Manasses M. and Lizzie (Miller) Lehman. On February 27, 1958 he married Sara E. Shrock; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are five sons, Wilbur (Katie Irene) Lehman and Raymond (Loretta) Lehman both of Topeka, Lavern (Lorene) Lehman of Shipshewana, Floyd (Loretta) Lehman and Marvin (Lora) Lehman both of Topeka; three daughters, Edna (Ervin) Bontrager of LaGrange, Kathryn (David) Fry and Ida Lehman both of Topeka; 40 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren; two half-brothers, Ervin (Lydia) Lehman and Manasses Lehman, Jr. both of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his parents, half brothers, Edward and John, grandson, Darrell Lehman.
Daniel had worked for DA Hostetler & Sons for more than 20 years. He was also the founder and maker of Classic Candies. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm Saturday November 14 and all day Sunday, November 15, at the Floyd Lehman residence, 4820 W. 300 S. Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am Monday, November 16, at the Dan Fry residence, 4460 W. 300 S., Topeka. Services will be conducted by Bishop Perry Lehman and the Home Ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange.
Lehman, Dorothy Anna Amstutz
May 11, 1932 - June 23, 2020
Dorothy Anna Lehman, 88, a village resident of VMRC in Harrisonburg, passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Dorothy was born May 11, 1932, in Wayne County, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Louis and Elda Amstutz.
She was a 1950 graduate of Eastern Mennonite (High) School.
On Sept. 6, 1953, she married the late James O. Lehman. Surviving are her children: Lynn Lehman and wife, Julie, of Stoneville, N.C., Orval Lehman of Linville, Gerald Lehman and wife, Pam, of Dayton, Beverly Baker and husband, Chris, of Doylestown, Pa., and Alan Lehman of Woodstock.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren: Aimee Rosser (Chris) and daughter, Caroline; Andrea Cox (Toby) and children, Lainey and Beau; Bryant Baker (Hannah) and sons, Malachi and Drayson; Seth Lehman (Ali) and daughter, Sophie; Sara Power (Todd) and son, Adam; Carissa Baker (John) and daughter, Mia; and Anna Lehman.
In the immediate family, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James, and grandson, Elias Lehman. She had been the last surviving member of her family of origin.
Throughout her adult life she was dedicated to the Lord, her husband, and her children. She had been a long-time active member at Lindale Mennonite Church, where she served the Lord in multiple capacities, from Wayfarer leader to Elder. Dorothy also volunteered at The International Guest House in Washington, D.C., and Gift & Thrift, Harrisonburg, and was employed at various places of business part time while raising her large family.
A private burial will be held Friday, June 26, 2020, and a memorial service will be held at a later time at Lindale Mennonite Church.

Edna L. Lehman, 85, of Shipshewana, died at 1:45 pm on Monday, November 16, at her residence of natural causes. She was born on February 5, 1935 in Shipshewana to Levi J. and Mary L. (Mast) Eash. On March 7, 1957 in Shipshewana she married Elmer J. Lehman, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are five sons, Calvin (Polly Anna) Lehman of Mio, MI, Herman (Viola) Lehman of Shipshewana, Norman (Katie) Lehman of Middlebury, Ernest (Esther) Lehman of LaGrange, Vernon (Elma) Lehman of Millersburg; daughter, Leanna (Wilbur) Kuhns of Bremen; 54 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Bontrager of LaGrange; son-in-law, Lloyd Miller of Libby, MT; two sisters-in-law, Amanda Eash of Bloomfield, IA and Anna Marie Eash of LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Etta Miller; sister, Ada Bontrager; two brothers, Ervin and Daniel Eash; brother-in-law, Joe Bontrager.
Edna was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, and all day Wednesday, November 18, at the family's residence, 11120 W. 300 S., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Thursday, November 19, also at the family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Elmer Dean Beachy and the home ministers. Burial will be in Honeyville Cemetery, Topeka.
Lehman, Edward Ray
December 28, 1953 - Deccember 13, 2020
Edward Ray Lehman went to his eternal home on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at the age of 66. Ed is the son of the late Kenneth and Betty (Plank) Lehman.
Ed and his wife Kimberly Ann (Sells), of West Liberty, Ohio, married February 15, 1975 and raised their two daughters on the same farm Ed grew up on in West Liberty, Ohio. Ed has always been an active member of Bethel Mennonite Church and an active member of the West Liberty community. He is a graduate of West Liberty-Salem High School and Hesston College in Hesston, Kansas.
Ed will be greatly missed by many and especially his wife Kim, and their two daughters, Natalie (Scott) Crawford and their sons Pate and Mac of Waldo, Ohio, and Lindsey (DJ) Goss and their children Abram, Royce, Rennie and Wes of Dalton, Georgia.
He was a devoted brother to his siblings, Tom (Carol) Lehman, Carol (Dave) Troyer, Kenny Lehman, Sam (Mariann) Lehman, Tim (Pam) Lehman, Ric (Teresa) Lehman. Ed was a beloved uncle and friend to many.
In lieu of an indoor service, there will be a drive-through visitation to celebrate Ed’s life on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the Bethel Mennonite Church in West Liberty from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Our hope is that anyone who wishes to celebrate his life will drive-through in his memory. Glen I. Lehman, age 89, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, December 11, 2020 at WestView Healthy Living in Wooster due to complications of Covid.
Glen was born on February 7, 1931, in West Salem, Ohio to the late Benjamin and Anna (Imhoff) Lehman. Glen lived most of his life on the family farm in West Salem until 2017, when he decided a move to Wooster would be more suitable for him.
Glen worked for Chapman Motors in Wooster for over 40 years. He was a Master Mechanic, always tinkering with cars, lawn mowers or some type of equipment in his shop at the home farm. He also enjoyed mowing lawns for various churches and people who would ask him to help them. Glen also enjoyed photography through the years; taking many photos at family reunions and special occasions.
He was a lifetime member of Wooster Mennonite Church, where he operated the sound system and took care of opening and closing the building for services or special events for many years.
Surviving are two brothers, Paul (Elaine) Lehman of Wooster and Ray (Pat) Lehman of Orrville; two sisters, Esther Shallenbarger of IN, and Arlene Miller of Shreve; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Stoudt and two brother-in-laws, Ray Lee Miller and Richard Shallenbarger.
Due to the current pandemic situation and for the safety of others, there will be no public services or visitation.
A private service will take place at the convenience of the family with burial at the Eight Square Cemetery in Wooster.

Richland - Grace H. Lehman, 91, formerly of Myerstown, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 in the Richland Christian Home, Richland, PA. She was the wife of the late Aaron P. Lehman and they were married on January 10, 1953. She was born on December 4, 1928 in East Earl Township, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Harry M. and Mabel N. Hoover Good. She was a member of Martin's Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference.
Grace was a loving mother and survived by children, Delmas and Mabel Zimmerman Lehman of Myerstown; Edward and Alta Zimmerman Lehman of Newmanstown; Nelson and Susan Burkholder Lehman of Myerstown; Lamar and Wilma Martin Lehman of Bernville; Rose Ann and Curvin Horning of Ephrata; Earl and Charlotte Nolt Lehman of Myerstown; Kenneth and Rachel Martin Lehman of Pine Grove; Gerald and Diane Rutt Lehman of Myerstown; 36 grandchildren; 92 great grandchildren, sisters, Esther H. Joe C. Lehman, 88, of Topeka, passed away on November 10, due to complications of COVID-19.
Joe C. Lehman was born on July 3, 1932, to Albert and Annie (Hochstetler) Lehman in LaGrange County, Indiana. He married the love of his life, Kathryn (Yelton) Lehman on June 19, 1955 at Emma Mennonite Church. He would live the remainder of his life in Emma.
He is Survived by his three daughters, Laurinda "Laurie" (Steve) Sherck (Lagrange), Julia (Robert) Rubinstein (Wolcottville), Beverly (Jerome) Stine (Bremen); 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Ezra) Gingerich (Honeyville); brother, Harvey Lehman (Berlin, OH).
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathryn, parents, sisters, Edna Miller, Katie Miller, Ida Mae Miller, and brothers, Freeman Lehman, Perry Lehman, Daniel Lehman and Albert Lehman, Jr.
Joe met his wife of 64 years, Kathryn, while singing and playing guitar in a music group, which performed with the Red Cross at VA hospitals throughout the Chicago land area in the mid 1950's. He continued his love of music and was a part time DJ at WSTR Radio in Sturgis, Michigan through the mid 1960's where he hosted a radio program entitled "Gospel in Song". Joe loved traveling throughout the U.S. with his wife and children, and many fond memories were formed over the years during those trips. He had a smile for everyone and a song, joke or story for every occasion. In addition to a long career at Schult Homes in Middlebury, in 1980 Joe and Kathryn fulfilled their dreams and opened Lehman's Music and Ice Cream Parlor in Shipshewana. Lehman's Music eventually moved to LaGrange. Joe loved music and gave Guitar lessons at their store. In addition to performing repairs and maintenance on guitars and most any musical instrument, Joe also designed and installed sound systems at churches and other venues throughout northern Indiana. Joe and Kathryn continued performing music throughout most of their lives and Joe played guitar with the Emma Town Singers for over 30 years. Due to concerns over the Current spread of COVID-19, the children and grandchildren will be having a private service with the intention that, once it is safe to do so, they will host a Celebration of Life to honor their father and grandfather with the extended family and community. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be given to Agape Missions and/or Menno Clinic.

Lebanon - Peter S. Lehman, 85, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 in the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. He was the husband of Mary S. Huber Lehman with whom he was married to for 63 years. He was born in Jackson Township, Lebanon County, on December 11, 1934, a son of the late Jesse A. and Candidus P. Stahl Lehman. Peter was a member of the Millbach Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference and a retired farmer.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Linda J. and husband Jay C. Martin of Reinholds, PA; Wilmer H. and wife Rhoda Horst Lehman of Lebanon, PA; Stephen H. and wife Janice Baker Lehman of Schaefferstown; Mary Jane and husband Darin T. Burkholder of Newmanstown; Candace F. and husband Dale L. Martin of Newmanstown, PA; Carol A. Lehman of Leola, PA; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brothers, Luke E. Lehman, Phyllis Maltby

Phyllis M. Lehman, 94, of Goshen, died early June 27, 2020, at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born September 6, 1925 in Watertown, New York to Chauncey and Mabel (Clark) Maltby.
On August 9, 1947 she married Earl M. Lehman in Croghan, New York. He died July 2, 2004.
Survivors include four sons, John (Brenda) Lehman of Angola, Clark (Rosario) Lehman of Homestead, Florida, Sidney Lehman of Goshen and Stephen (Gail) Lehman of Wakarusa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a sister, Barbara Knowles of Syracuse, New York.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Maltby and a sister, Muriel Thompson.
A longtime area resident, Mrs. Lehman worked at Goshen Hospital for 19 years as a nurse’s aide.
Mrs. Lehman was a member of First Mennonite Church, Nappanee. She enjoyed baking, gardening, singing and making pressed flower cards, even selling some of them at the MCC Mennonite Relief Sale.
No public services are planned. A private burial will take place at Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen.

Alvin B. Leid, 83, of 1126 Martindale Road, Ephrata, passed away at home on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
He was married 60 years to Mary W. Shirk Leid. Born in Earl Twp., he was the son of the late Norman and Anna Burkholder Leid.
Alvin was a farmer. He was a minister at the Martindale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Surviving besides his wife are five sons, Edward husband of Minnie Leid of Dundee, NY, Alvin husband of Alma Leid of Thorp, WI, Daniel husband of Mary Leid of Thorp, WI, John husband of Mary Leid of Elma, IA, and Mark husband of Lydia Ann Leid of Ephrata; a daughter, Mary wife of Jeremiah Zeiset of Abbottsford, WI; 42 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Levi, Adam, Irvin, Samuel and John Leid; and a sister, Anna wife of John Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by sons, Clarence and James who was the husband of Julia Leid; three infants, and by brothers, George Aaron and Norman Leid.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, at 9:30 A.M. at the Weaverland Mennonite Church, 1120 Weaverland Road, East Earl, PA with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. George Burkholder Leid, age 84 of the Miller Valley Community in Todd County, Kentucky, passed away 12:02 AM Monday, August 24, 2020 at his residence, of natural causes.
Mr. Leid was born January 22, 1936 in Earl Township, Pennsylvania the son of the late Norman Weaver and Anna Burkholder Leid. He was a member of the Miller Valley Old Order Mennonite Church.

Lucy Z. Leid, 66, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at home.
She was born in East Earl to the late Aaron Z. and Ella R. (Zimmerman) Sensenig and was the wife of John Z. Leid.
She was a member of Conestoga Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Lucy was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, Lucy is survived by a daughter, Ellen S., wife of Allen Z. Stauffer of Roaring Spring; three sons, Laurence S., husband of Martha Z. (Horning) Leid of Penn Yan, NY, Jason S., husband of Lois Z. (Newswanger) Leid of New Holland, John Aaron S., husband of Nancy S. (Horning) Leid of Ephrata; 25 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Lindberg, Philip Gordon, 79, of Albany, OR died July 3, 2020 at the same place. He was born July 30, 1940 at Geneva, IL to Milton Benjamin and Beth (MacKinney) Lindberg. On July 10, 1971 at Scottdale, PA he was married to Anita Louise Hartzler, who was born July 10, 1971 and survives.
Surviving are children, Krysta (Derren) Keene, Jeffrey, Elena Hunter, and Alex; six grandchildren, and a sister, Grace (Glenn) Johnson.
A brother, David Lindberg preceded him in death.

Mildred H. Livengood, age 88, formerly of Lancaster, passed away at Landis Homes on Thursday, April 30, 2020. She was born in West Lampeter Twp., daughter of the late Phares W. & Reba Hess Livengood. She was a member of Mellinger Mennonite Church. Mildred had worked in the cafeteria services for Lampeter Strasburg School District. She enjoyed helping on the family farm.
Surviving are 3 siblings: Martha Livengood of Lititz, David husband of Mary Burkhart Livengood of Willow Street, Earl husband of Joyce Deiter Livengood of Lancaster. Nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by 3 siblings: Rhoda, Ira and Paul Livengood.
A graveside service will take place at the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, 435 Manor Avenue, Millersville, PA, on Monday, May 4 at 11 a.m.

Longenecker, Daniel M.

Daniel M. Longenecker, 86, of Lititz, Pa., died on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Landis Homes. Dan was a lifelong minister in the Mennonite church, a loving father, and devoted husband of Catherine (Sensenig) Martin, whom he married on May 11, 1957.
Dan was born to Phares and Emma (Miller) Longenecker of Middletown, Pa. Dan served as a 1-W alternative service worker at a Cheverly, Md., hospital in 1958, was ordained in 1961 by Lancaster Mennonite Conference, and completed seminary in 1970. Dan began his ministry as a pastor in Harrisburg, Pa., at Hamilton Street Mennonite Church (1958-67), then pastored Lebanon (Ore.) Mennonite Church (1970-73) and Line Lexington (Pa.) Mennonite Church (1973-78). In mid-career, he served as a field representative with Mennonite Mutual Aid (now Everence) and launched a chaplain program at Zurbrugg Memorial Hospital (Riverside, N.J.). Dan was delighted to have Catherine join him in the final portion of his career, serving 10 years as co-chaplains at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community (Harrisonburg, Va.), with a highlight being Catherine's ordination in 1991 by Virginia Mennonite Conference. Additional highlights of their shared ministry included interim co-pastor assignments in Kansas and Georgia, along with bringing the Bible to life for all ages through biblical storytelling. Dan was a founder of the Shenandoah Valley Biblical Storytellers and regularly led workshops at the National Organization of Biblical Storytellers.
Dan is survived by Catherine, of Landis Homes, daughter Dawn Longenecker, married to Jim Rice, of Mount Rainier, Md.; daughter Christine Longenecker, married to Richard Shoup, of Lancaster, Pa.; son Fred, married to Jewel Gingerich Longenecker, of South Bend, Ind., and son Steve, of Lancaster, Pa., along with grandchildren Jessica Rice, married to Ben Brokaw, of Takoma Park, Md., Adam Rice, of Washington, D.C., Jenae Longenecker, married to Vince Kurtz, of South Bend, Ind., Jace Longenecker, of Goshen, Ind., and great-grandson, Theodore Brokaw, of Takoma Park, Md. Mark, of Harrisonburg, Va., brothers Edward and his wife, Rhoda, of Landis Homes and William and his wife, Rodi, of Morson, Ontario, and sister-in-law Miriam Longenecker. Preceding Dan in death were his brother, Martin Longenecker, a sister, Alice L. Good, and Alice's husband, Claude Good.

Longenecker, M. Ellen Landis
February 21, 1940 - April 11, 2020
M. Ellen Longenecker, age 80 of Millersville, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at her home. She was the wife of Dale K. Longenecker for 57 years. She was born in Lancaster to D. Isaac Landis and Esther Mae Myers Landis. Ellen spent most of her childhood in Sussex, New Jersey.
She graduated from Ephrata High School. She was an office worker for Dutch Maid and Millersville University. She also worked as a bookkeeper for the family business.
Ellen was an incredible cook and had a huge library of recipes. She liked canning fruits and vegetables, and spending time with her cats. Ellen enjoyed traveling, especially the northeastern states. She enjoyed the time that she spent with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons: Carl (Lori) Conestoga; Philip (Barbara) Lititz; Andrew (Donna) Shillington; David (Jody) Lancaster. Ellen also has five surviving siblings: Esther Miller, Chesapeake, VA; Daniel (Emily) Landis, Indianapolis, Indiana; Charles (Sara Jane) Landis, Lancaster, PA; James (Laura) Landis, Hershey, PA; Paul (Janet) Landis, Schenectady, NY. Additionally, she has eight grandchildren.
A private service and burial were held at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery on April 17, 2020.
Longenecker, Nancy Ruth Frey
October 25, 1930 - June 27, 2020
Nancy Ruth Frey Longenecker, long-time resident of Mennonite Home Communities, Lancaster, PA, went to her home in Heaven where she met her Lord and Savior on June 27, 2020. Nancy is the daughter of Fannie Shank Daveler Frey and Elias Trout Frey, born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on October 25, 1930. She was the wife of Henry Z. Longenecker, married for 38 years.
Nancy's family lived on a large farm near Elizabethtown, PA, where everyone worked hard. Nancy is predeceased by her parents and siblings: Dorothy, Paul, Harold, Mary, Martin, Ralph, Elias Jr., Claude, Earl. She is survived by siblings: Erma Metzler Betz Schnabel, Wilbur Frey, and Lois Frey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Elizabethtown High School, Nancy worked at Aunt Sally's Kitchen. She managed the dining service for Philhaven Hospital for a number of years, meeting the dietary needs of the patients. She also taught Bible School in Alabama, and Steelton Mission, Steelton, PA. Her love of Jesus Christ took her into many places of service. She treasured God's word and shared it with everyone she met.
On April 8, 1967, Nancy married Henry Z. Longenecker. Together they attended Steelton Mennonite Church, teaching Sunday school, relating to many in the community, and joyously serving the Lord together. Leading a Bible study at the Dauphin Manor Home every Tuesday afternoon was a particular ministry of blessing to the residents. She accompanied Henry on the piano while he led songs. During these years, Nancy also worked at the Spring Glen stand in the Kline Village Farmer's Market. Nancy's sewing expertise brought many persons to her for alterations of clothing and new creations. She made her own wedding dress and Gloria's wedding dress in the same year. Later, she also made the wedding dresses of two granddaughters, Elaine and Tina.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Henry Longenecker, in January, 2005, and stepdaughter, Elaine M. Clymer in April, 2015. She is survived by stepdaughters: Marian (James, deceased) Burkholder, Carolyn (Lowell) Horst, Gloria (Galen) Lehman, and Nancy Pellegrini. Eleven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Having lived formerly in Middletown, Nancy moved to Woodcrest Villas, Lancaster, in 2002, and enjoyed living in this community where she volunteered in many ways, and served on several committees, and led the prayer chain. She took in sewing and alterations for her neighbors in Woodcrest Villas; the quality of her work brought her numerous clients.
Nancy's many friends in Woodcrest Villas meant so much to her, and gave her joy and support through the 19 years that she lived there.
The family expresses gratitude to the staff of Woodcrest Villas and Mennonite Home, particularly Reed Run, and to the nurses and aides of Hospice & Community Care of Lancaster for their continued concern for Nancy's wellbeing during the difficult months of her illness.
In accordance with Nancy's request, her body is donated for scientific research. A memorial service of thanksgiving for Nancy's life will be held at Mountville Mennonite Church, 205 Froelich Avenue, Mountville, PA 17554, led by Pastors Jim Laverty and Phil Shertzer, as soon as circumstances allow. Current plans are postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
